Why we started Charity Catalyst

The founders at Charity Catalyst saw a gap in the volunteering world: many young people, especially high school students, are eager to get involved but often encounter barriers such as limited transportation, age restrictions, skill requirements, and time constraints in existing volunteering opportunities. To help bridge this gap, Charity Catalyst designs campaigns that make volunteering accessible and manageable, providing opportunities for, and helping young people contribute meaningfully to their communities with fewer obstacles in their way.

Our mission

Charity Catalyst is an Australian charity dedicated to supporting smaller charities that may lack the funds or resources to fully achieve their missions. We bridge this gap by providing accessible opportunities for volunteers, especially students, who are eager to make a difference in their communities. We understand the vital role these organisations play, and strive to amplify their impact through innovative, tailored campaigns designed to meet their unique needs. With the help of our volunteers, we help charities overcome resource challenges, expand their reach, and further their causes. Acting as a bridge for collaboration, Charity Catalyst ensures that every campaign fosters meaningful partnerships, benefiting both the volunteers and the charities involved.
